Happy September! It has been way too long since I last baked and I had planned to spend Labor Day baking all kinds of treats to share with you until my plan was derailed by a burst pipe flooding our kitchen. Between that and the start of Dental School, my baking time is limited these days, but I’m determined to fit it in somehow! In the meantime, I figured I would do a little round up of my favorite fall recipes. Even though it was 90 degrees and insanely humid yesterday, it is the first week of September, which means pumpkin and apple season is pretty much here! Going through these recipes reminded me of all the things I want to bake in the next few months, so hopefully this helps you move on from summer and get excited for all things fall!
First on my baking list this month are these pumpkin whoopie pies. If you haven’t made these before, you have to try them. They are seriously the perfect texture and taste like fall in a bite!
This apple bundt cake with maple glaze is the perfect brunch treat. I could eat the glaze by the bucketful.
Have you forgotten about these pumpkin donut holes?!? This is another one of my all time favorite pumpkin recipes.
Fall wouldn’t be complete without a loaf of the Ultimate pumpkin bread.
…and if I haven’t overdone the pumpkin, these pumpkin chocolate chip muffins are moist and delicious. They’re even on the healthier side, but I swear you won’t know the difference!
I’m clearly pumpkin obsessed, but maybe I’ll mix it up this year and add some more apple recipes to the mix. Happy baking and stay tuned next week as the dessert chronicles reaches an important milestone!
